Hi Louis,
I hope this email finds you well! If we haven’t met already - my name is Stephanie and I’m Meta’s (formerly the Facebook company) University Recruiter for your school. Your background is impressive and after reviewing your resume we are interested in considering you for a Software Engineer, Intern position for Meta!
If you are interested, please answer the following questions below (please reply in line) and attach an updated copy of your resume (include your approximate graduation month/year).
Timeline FYI: Due to the holiday season and interviewer capacity, our current process from this point to the offer stage will have you conducting your initial technical screen in December and likely not moving on to the next stages (should you pass the first screen) until January. We will most likely not be able to complete our entire process in time for any imminent deadlines you have in November or December, but please let me know ASAP if you do have deadlines so we can try to move as quickly as possible.
1. Please confirm your expected month and year of graduation as well as your degree type (bachelors or masters) and the school you are attending. (Ex. 5/2022, Bachelor's, Pixar University)
2. Have you ever interviewed with Meta before? If so, when?
3. With final exams and the Holidays coming up, which time slot would you prefer to interview during: December 6th-December 17th OR after the Holidays (January 3rd and beyond)?
4. Do you have (or will you be anticipating) any offer deadlines or other interviews with other companies at the moment? If so, with who and when?
5. Are you eligible for a Summer 2022 Internship or a university grad role at Meta? To be eligible for an internship, you must be returning to school for at least one semester/quarter post internship. To be eligible for a university grad role, you must be completing your academic degree within the next year (and be ineligible for an internship before that date) or have completed your academic degree within the past nine months. FYI - we are only recruiting for Summer 2022 Interns at this time, not Winter or Fall.
6. If you were to work at Meta, what types of projects are you excited about or would like to work on? We can't guarantee you'll work in this area but would love to know.
